The long-lasting process of creating the new Triosphere album is approaching the end of it’s road – it’s finally time to start finishing everything by setting all those soundtakes together. What a task! But, there’s no reason to worry when you hire Denmark’s legendary Tommy Hansen over at Jailhouse Studios do to the work. He’s been working magic in his studio for the last 30 years, and should definately give the Triosphere album all the attention and finesse that it deserves.
It’ll be nothing less than extremely exciting to hear the outcome of the mixing process, we will share some secrets when the puzzle is all put together as well as reveal some artwork for the new cover. Stay put!

It’s been more than 4 and a half years since we first lay our feet upon the beautiful Karmøy, and it’s about time to go back and show some metal attitude on stage again
It’s always a pleasure to yell out «YEAH!» when Johnny asks us to do a show, so April 2010 is definately a highlight on our calendar. We’ll get a good oportunity to perform material from the new album on next year’s festival, as well as meet up with old friends in the festival crew.
The line-up for Karmøygeddon 2010 so far is : Arch Enemy (Se), Rage (De), Tristania (No), The Haunted (Se), Glittertind (No), Wolf (Se), Tyr (Fo), Witchhammer (No), Mistur (No), Atropos (No) and Evig Natt (No). Be sure to get your tickets before it’s too late!

A grand invitation for unleashing the metal machinery upon the bleeding ears of Europe has once again arrived to Triosphere – this time from none other than the Tyrant itself! We’re of course talking about the kings of melodic death metal, namely ARCH ENEMY and their Roots of Evil European tour! What an honour! And if this wasn’t enough, the headliners will be accompanied by German thrash metal legends DESTRUCTION!. This is truly an amazing opportunity for Triosphere, and as our hands are shivering while writing the great news we can nothing but accept the great offer to play support on this tour. Special guests from the US are also Abigail Williams – We promise our endless effort to make every concert on this tour a show you can’t miss!
See the concerts page for more details

This news just ticked in from our friends in Spiritual Beast in Japan – Triosphere has been made a Metal Album Nominee for the JPF Awards 2009. There were 42.000(!) submissions for album nominees and “Onwards” was selected among the top 10 in the metal category! The award is hosted by Just Plain Folks Music Organization (Just Plain Folks is a community of over 51,500 Songwriters, Recording Artists, Music Publishers, Record Labels, Performing Arts Societies, Educational Institutions, Recording Studios and Engineers, Producers, Legal Professionals, Publicists and Journalists, Publications, Music Manufacturers and Retailers and about every other type of member of the Music Industry. – and host to the world’s largest independent music awards. -Webmaster).
This is of course very exciting news for the band, and we can only cross our strings and sticks hoping that the awards will cast a bit of glory upon Triosphere and “Onwards”
The awards is held on August 29th in Nashville, TN.

The famous Rock Hard Magazine published an article in issue no.263 announcing a list of THE 20 BEST NEW BANDS in the metal scene in 2009. The list consists of what RH Magazine estimates as the most promising and up-and-coming bands from all over the world – and they have entitled Triosphere as one of those very bands! This testifies that Triosphere has made a noticeable efford by producing quality music and showing a dedicated performance onstage throughout tours and concerts all over Europe. It’s a great token of motivation for the band, and gives even more spirit in the forging of the new album.

As of today, Triosphere has officially started recording the new and long awaited studio album! The metal is being forged at Trondheim Studio and engineered by Thomas, and the making of a studio diary already started. Stay tuned for updates with photos and video in the following days!

Triosphere has been confirmed for the Jorddunst 2009 festival on Frøya, playing on Thursday July 16th. The festival is located on the coast of middle Norway in beautiful surroundings, transportation and camping is well covered, more info on their website. Some of the other bands playing on the festivals are JORN, Skambankt, Katzenjammer, Tommy Tokyo, Iskald, Fatboy and Masshysteri.

Yet again Triosphere has received great reviews and comments from the audience and journalists attending their show, and also some eyecandy from the photographers out there. Rune at Eternal Terror has written a review and also uploaded a photo gallery – The same goes for Icon Music Mag which has written a review and uploaded photos from the show. And of course, our favourite photographer in Trondheim Anita Lande has taken a few shots that can be seen in her Flickr set.
A little gear update – Marius is using the Rocktron Hush Super C and is featured in this years catalog from Audio Media. Download the PDF here!

One of Norway’s most profiled cartoon characters, namely Pondus, is a rock’n'roll warrior disguised as a football fanatic – always fronting the commercial battle against mindless “musical” junk. Triosphere was introduced to some of the guys behind the cartoon after the DIO supportgig, and their fondness of Triosphere and heavy music in general resulted in a featured article on the Pondus website. Check it out, but beware of female cartoon characters like demons out of hell!
We’re also writing the Trondheim Rockfest as a chapter in the past for now, but what a great show! Playing for a full crowd on Trondheim’s town square is really something out of the ordinary and the fans really made it worth our while as usual. The student newspaper Under Dusken gave a great rewiew – and there’s a little treat for you over at YouTube. Enjoy!
